My favourite chill song currently. I could listen to it for hours.

On an electro kick lately and it somehow led me to Depeche Mode. I know I'm about 22 years late, but I can't stop listening to Violator. I knew the singles from that album, but never sat down and digested the entire thing as one piece of work. Perfection.

Also really enjoying Shiny Toy Guns' and Ellie Goulding's new albums.

None of these 3 artists share any remote similarities to Radical Face whatsoever. Diversity is good?

Totally. Diversity is always good. I listen to a lot of electronic stuff. And classical/film soundtracks. Violator is an awesome record.

For the past couple weeks, I've been listening to the records from Washed Out and Youth Lagoon. I like both.

Hey, Ben. If you dig Washed Out, you'll probably like Com Truise as well.

And I wanted to drop in and let you know that I went to an Against Me! show over the weekend. They are from Florida as well, so I was seeing if you were familiar. Laura Jane Grace (formerly Tom Gabel) came out as transgendered earlier this year and it was honestly one of the best shows I've been to in a while. Such a positive vibe from the crowd and everyone was there to support her.

I finally read through the "no homo" thread and wanted to let your know I support you too! I think in this day and age with all the Right Wing news anchors and radio show hosts denouncing and demonizing gays so publicly, that it's important that we state how much we love, appreciate and accept you and others on a personal level, person to person, to counteract that negativity.

So... much love for you, Ben.

Thank you. It's actually really nice to find supportive bits here and there. You do kind of get used to it being mostly negative, or something you have to be careful about, especially in the south. At this point, I'm 30 years old now and I can't say I care all that much about people's disapproval anymore, but it's nice when it swings supportive from time to time.

And that's rad about the Against Me! show. I know a few trans folks, and it's a hard lot. Really not an easy thing to deal with. And to come out with it publicly is pretty damn brave of her. And yeah, friends of mine in Gainesville have introduced me to some of the band members over the years. Cool folks.

This Com Truise record sounds really cool so far. I think I will always have a soft spot for synths that sound like a VHS tape with bad tracking.

I haven't been in the mood for listening to any Radical Face stuff for a while, but as it gets colder, I'm growing fonder and fonder of listening to the CDs. I guess it's the cosy voice and the "chimney mood".
I listened to a lot of Yann Tiersen though, especially after having been to France for a month. I highly recommend his music.

This one is one of my favorites, but he does a lot of purely instrumental stuff too:

I've been overdosing on sufjan stevens recently. His voice is so... heavenly.

I agree, Yann Tiersen and Sufjan Stevens do great music !

A friend showed me this a few days ago and I love this song, although I'm not in fond of their other songs:

The new Kaki King record has some really cool arrangements on it. I like it a lot.

And yeah, I love Yann Tiersen. The Amelie soundtrack is forever in rotation with me.

Holy Shit! Well, now I know what Christmas music I'm listening to when I do all my online shopping.

I think what Sufjan does is, he records a new album every christmas, then releases a few of them altogether. His first christmas album has 42 songs. I feel as if it's too early to listen to christmas songs though, so I'm saving them for december...

Its not really one album but individual EPs which he records each year. Should check out his first set as well as its more folky and laid back.

"That was the worst christmas ever!" from his first christmas album is one of my all time favourite christmas songs.

Very cool. Sounds like he is channelling Nick Drake :)

Just discovered Cloud Cult the other day and fell in love with this track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udWIFQgAcYQ

The album "Light Chasers" is really quite amazing, and although it came out in 2010, it really is worth a listen.
