I tried to watch a film called Brother which was about japanese gangsters in america. I stopped partway through. It wasn't too interesting for me.

Yeah, sad news. I mostly know him from the Green Mile, but he was really something in that.

I remember him just from Green Mile and Daredevil. But I feel like I've seen him a lot more.
It's funny how he had that bad guy stereotype look, but at the same time you knew he was a very kind man.

Yeah, he had that gentle giant quality to him. Despite looking like he could tear you in half and throw the pieces in a dumpster.

Tekkonkinkreet is a movie I originally wanted to watch because I liked the way it was drawn, but it ended up being very impressive, one of the things that really affects you.
It's based on the comic, which it follows almost exactly. It's about a lot of things, but I think what they highlight the most is corruption and innocence of humanity, represented by the main characters, two brothers named Black and White.

Tekkon kinkreet looks really good, I've been sort of half planning to read the novel for quite a while.

Also, saw Looper today. It was intense. And awesome. I recommend. Although Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks a bit weird in it because he had to have prosthetic make up so he could look a bit more like a younger version of Bruce Willis. He's still hot.

That is one of my all-time favorite graphic novel sets. I really recommend them, if you can find 'em. I enjoyed the movie, too, but it was particularly great in comic form for me.

I saw Looper last night. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. They were smart to dodge getting too involved in the time travel aspects and focusing on other elements. I also like it when I can't say where a film is going. Props for not showing everything in the trailer.

And yeah, the prosthetic make-up they did was really well done. Changed his face just enough without seeming silly. He's not my type though. Hahaha.

Another rad time-travel movie, coincidentally starring Bruce Willis as well, is 12 Monkeys.
