Totally understandable. Makes perfect sense. The territory thing is related to content...in Canada we have a governing body that regulates what can and can't be broadcast. It's annoying but can be overcome by using a proxy to spoof an American location. Not a problem. I'm happy to see you do what you need to do to get more exposure. You deserve a large and devoted following!
I just see this all in pretty simple terms. The art side (like the writing and recording) is personal, and I will not compromise on that. The business side is just about trying to get it to people in the best way possible, in as affordable a manner as I can, and to let people know it exists and is available. Everything else is incidental. But I keep it all very separate. It's important to me to never let them cross. Everyone has their own idea of selling out. Mine is pulling back, or changing what you really wanted to make, for fear it wouldn't sell.
