Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to the shows, and who took the time to come say hello. We're a messy bunch of idiots most of the time, and we ran into a ton of speed bumps along the way, but we had fun. I'll post a bunch of pictures from the trip in this thread, too. But first ... a nap.
Welcome home, son (sorry) Seriously though, was great to see you perform and a pleasure to meet you as well. We had a great time at the London show and hope the rest of the tour went smoothly and was as much fun for you. Enjoy the rest now that you're home, hope your back is feeling better!
Thank you for touring Europe Ben. I had a blast meeting you all. Hope to see you & the guys more often on this side of the pond.
Here's some shots from the trip. Just a handful I picked out. More coming. Jeremiah: Apparently ranch is refferred to as "American Flavor" in Europe. Hard to argue with that. Us at the BBC after being awake for about 36 hours: Group picture at the [can't remember the name] gallery in London: Same gallery, but in front of a moving mirror: At the Royal Opera House in Paris: These were the lights in the Opera House: It was cold in Amsterdam: Big Ben vs. Big Ben: I thought this van was hilarious: We always hunt down arcades and play Street Fighter whenever we can: Roadside Swingset: Jack playing as my arms and Yo-Yoing. Which is terrifying: I took a lot of pictures of snow. We don't have that stuff here in Florida:
Great pictures Ben, glad you enjoyed Europe And you're more than welcome to trade some lovely Florida sunshine for our snow haha
Love the pics. I saw a slightly different version of the one of you sitting outside Radio 2 studios somewhere Pleased to hear you enjoyed Europe, we enjoyed you.
Nice to see some photos! The Big Ben vs. Big Ben is pretty funny The Opera House looks beautifully kitsch, amazing haha. Keep them coming!
I deeply regret I couldn't go see you this time around. Unfortunately Germany and London are too far away from Sweden when you're a student, but here's to hoping you'll be back another time!
It's already 6 months since the Berlin concert, but I still get a nice fuzzy feeling whenever I think of it, even though I embarrassed myself a little (and my then-girlfriend a lot) when I shouted for "Mountains". Ben, special thanks for the kind response (something along the lines of "I'm sorry, we haven't figured that one out yet") and pretty autograph!
Hahaha. No worries. You shouldn't feel embarrassed It's nice when people want to hear a specific song! I'm just usually struggling with limited supplies when playing live, so certain songs aren't possible without more people/instruments. We had a version of Mountains when we were playing with the choirs, but it didn't scale back to 3 people well at all. And I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I was injured and sick most of that tour, so I was just doing my best not to totally suck.
